The audio slideshow recording can be as powerful as jazz
Listen to the voice of the man recorded in this New York Times audio slideshow, “Social Worker with a Camera” by Sandra C. Roa. His monologue is like jazz; The intensity gushes and recedes; the sounds move from gritty to sweet; there’s staccato, silence, and some easy verbal riff. The tenor of his voice conveys even more meaning than the words alone do.
We are looking for more examples of audio slideshows in which the audio is as emotionally powerful as the photos. We want to showcase this great recording quality, and talk with the people who’ve created it. If you have something to share, or have seen and heard an audio slideshow recently in which the sound recording blew you away, let us know. Post a link below or tweet it @Soundslides.
